How to Generate Activity Logs Report

Overview

The Activity Log records all the activities performed within the system. In this article, we'll explore how you can use this feature.

Step tutorial

1. From the home page, go to 'Administration' and click on 'Activity Logs'.




2. You'll be directed to the activity logs page. Here, you can utilise the filters for easier searching.



a. Log Time From – Select start date and time.



b. Log Time To – Select end date and time.



c. Object – Select a module: Course, Theme, Subscription Package, or Package Inclusion.



d. Type – Select the action made: Add, Edit, Delete, or Export.




e. Search box – Enter username or description of the course activity.



3. After setting the filters, click the 'Search' button to proceed.
NOTE: You can also click the 'Reset' button to clear the filters.


4. You should now see all the activities related to the filters you have applied. See the descriptions below to understand what each column shows.


i. Username – User who has performed the action
ii. Object – Object involved in the action
iii. Object ID – ID number of the object
iv. Description – What action was taken
v. Type – Category of the action taken
vi. Created Time – When the action was taken

NOTE: Clicking the 'caret' icon will sort the list in ascending or descending order.
