Sharing Your Course - An Overview

Overview
Sharing your courses effectively is crucial for reaching and engaging learners. The eSkilled AI Course Creator offers various sharing options, making it easy to share courses with any website or Learning Management System. These sharing options include:
Sharing Courses to your LMS Via LTI 1.1 OR LTI 1.3.
This is our recommended sharing option if your LMS supports LTI 1.1 or 1.3.

eSkilled's LMS supports LTI 1.3
- Sharing Courses to your LMS or website Via iFrame Embed Code. - Allows you to share course content across any website or LMS by pasting embed code onto a course or website page.
- Sharing Courses Via Preview Course Link. - Allows you to share a link to your course hosted on AI Course Creator.

This guide explores these different sharing options
Sharing Courses to Your Learning Management System via LTI 1.1 and LTI 1.3 (RECOMMENDED SHARING OPTION)
If considering sharing via LTI 1.1 or 1.3, it is recommended that you first check that your Learning Management system is LTI compatible and which version it supports. LTI 1.3 is the more recent version and has improved security features; therefore, it is the recommended sharing option if your LMS supports LTI 1.3. If your LMS does not support either LTI 1.1 or 1.3, we recommend using iFrames to embed your courses in your LMS.

NOTE: If you use eSkilled's LMS you can share using LTI 1.3
Pros:
- Enhanced Security: LTI 1.3 includes improvements in security over earlier versions, providing better data protection and user authentication.
- Interoperability: LTI 1.1 and 1.3 ensures seamless integration with a wide range of educational tools and platforms, promoting a unified learning experience.
- Rich Data Exchange: Facilitate data sharing between the course content and your LMS, enabling tracking of user progress, grades, and other metrics.
- Scalability: Can handle large numbers of users and courses, making it suitable for organizations of all sizes.
- Standards Compliance: LTI 1.3 adheres to IMS Global standards, ensuring future compatibility and support across various platforms.
Sharing Courses via iFrame Embed Code
Without an LMS that supports LTI 1.1 or LTI 1.3, using iFrames would be the next recommended option. iFrames allow you to easily embed content by pasting the iFrame code from your course settings menu into a page on your LMS or website.
Please refer to this tutorial: 'How To Share Your Course via Embed Code' for the detailed steps.
Pros:
- Easy Integration: Embedding a course via iFrame allows for straightforward integration into a variety of platforms, including websites and learning management systems (LMS).
- Consistent Experience: iFrames ensure that the course looks the same regardless of where it is embedded, providing a consistent user experience.
- Minimal Setup: Little technical knowledge is required to implement an iFrame, making it accessible for non-technical users.
IMPORTANT NOTE: User progression and grading reporting are not possible with embedding the iFrame code. If you need these features, we recommend using an LTI-compatible LMS. If you don't have a compatible LMS, eSkilled can assist you with great packages for LMS to host your courses.
Sharing Courses via Preview Course Link
This sharing option is great for public courses where you don't need to track user progress and don't want users to have to sign up for logins, etc. Just share the course link on your website or via email to allow users to access the course. Please refer to this tutorial: 'How To Share Your Course via URL or Preview Link' for the detailed steps.
Pros:
- Full Functionality: Preview mode allows users to experience the course with all its features and interactivity intact.
- No Integration Required: No need to embed or integrate with other platforms, making it simple to share with users.
- Immediate Access: Users can quickly access and start the course without creating accounts, logging in etc.
- Easy: Simply send the Link (URL) to your users to access and complete the course.
IMPORTANT NOTE: User progression and grading reporting are not possible with preview link sharing. If you need these features, we recommend using an LTI-compatible LMS. If you don't have a compatible LMS, eSkilled can assist you with great packages for LMS to host your courses.
